Mission Statement

The Supreme Court for the Republic of Iroquois Ongwehonweh (SCROIO) is dedicated to upholding the principles of Love, Light, Truth, Order, Peace, Justice, and Balance as guided by Universal Law.

Our mission is to serve as the highest judicial authority, ensuring fair and equitable resolution of disputes while honoring the sacred sovereignty of the Ongwehonweh people, and to all of humanity. Rooted in ancient wisdom and contemporary justice, we strive to protect the rights, traditions, and natural laws of our Republic.

Through unwavering commitment to truth and harmony, we aim to foster unity, preserve our cultural heritage, and guide our people toward peace and balance in alignment with the eternal principles of Universal Law.

About the Supreme Court

 The Supreme Court of the Republic of Iroquois Ongwehonweh is the highest judicial body within our sovereign nation Republic. It serves as the protector of Ongwehonweh sovereignty, rights, and natural law. This court operates independently of all foreign jurisdictions, including federal, state, municipal, and international systems—except where international law recognizes Indigenous sovereignty under the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and The American Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (ADRIP). 

Jurisdiction

 

The Supreme Court holds original, appellate, and exclusive jurisdiction over:

  • Matters concerning the sovereignty of the Republic
     
  • Disputes involving Ongwehonweh on American ancestral soil
     
  • International human rights violations against our people
     
  • Violations of Treaty, Customary, or Natural Law
     
  • Land, identity, and inheritance cases
     
  • Indigenous recognition and repatriation claims
     
  • Inter-tribal or intra-tribal disagreements requiring council judgment

Under Articles 3, 4, 5, and 18 of UNDRIP, the Republic of Iroquois Ongwehonweh reserves the inherent right to govern, adjudicate, and self-determine its own lawful, legal and political destiny. The Supreme Court operates in accordance with these international standards and will engage international courts (such as the ICJ or Inter-American Commission) when necessary.
