The Republic of Iroquois Ongwehonweh (R.I.O.) extends an invitation to all ascendants of the original peoples of the Americas to join our sovereign republic. Unlike many traditional systems, our republic-ship process does not rely on blood quantum, Dawes Rolls, or other colonial criteria. We are a sovereign entity created for the disenfranchised American Indians—those whose identities and heritage have been undermined by the historical and systemic erasure known as paper genocide.

For centuries, we the so-called Black people, African Americans, and West Indians have been denied recognition as the rightful heirs of our Indigenous ancestry. Through the Republic, we assert our right to self-determination and the right to belong to a community of tribes that reflects our true heritage.

The Republic of Iroquois Ongwehonweh was established to be a voice for those who have none—a home for those without an Indigenous community to claim as their own. By filling out this republic-ship form, you are choosing to align yourself with like-minded individuals who share a vision of uniting as a collective to reclaim our stolen blood-right, rebuild our Indigenous identity, and work together for a brighter future.

We encourage new comers to read the republic-sip thoroughly before beginning. The Republic seeks positive, loyal, honorable, righteous men and women who are serious about joining an indigenous community Republic rooted in love, respect, and unity. Together, we aim to build a strong and thriving government Republic grounded in our shared story and aspirations for restoration and empowerment.
