The Republic of Iroquois Ongwehonweh (R.I.O.) is steadfast in its commitment to protect, uphold, and defend the inherent sovereignty and sacred rights of the Ongwehonweh people. Rooted in the principles of unity, strength, and resilience, we strive to reclaim our birthright and restore the dignity of our people as stewards of the land.
We are dedicated to preserving and revitalizing our ancestral languages, cultural heritage, and spiritual traditions. Through education, governance, and community development, we ensure these values flourish for the next seven generations of Ongwehonweh across the Americas.
The R.I.O. serves as a sovereign tribal government with the following goals:
